Questions & answers

How deep should a restaurant booth be?

A single restaurant booth is typically 22–26 in (56–66 cm) deep overall, with a usable seat depth of about 18–20 in (46–51 cm). Back-to-back double booths run 44–50 in (112–127 cm). High or reclined backs add depth, so confirm the overall dimension on the shop drawing before you lock your aisle widths.

What is the standard seat height for booths?

Booth seats are normally 18 in (46 cm) high to the top of the compressed cushion, which pairs with a standard 30 in (76 cm) dining table and leaves about 12 in between seat and tabletop. Counter-height booths use a 24–26 in seat with a 36 in table, and bar-height booths a 30 in seat with a 42 in table.

How do you price custom booths?

We quote by the linear foot of seating for each style, then list the variables separately: back height and profile, upholstery (our fabric, your COM or your COL), curves and corners, end panels, base finish and freight terms. That way you can see what each option adds. We do not publish price lists; every quote is built from your drawing.

Can I use my own fabric or vinyl (COM/COL)?

Yes. Send us the fabric name, width, repeat and roll quantity, and we calculate the yardage per section on the shop drawing. Ship the material to our Foshan production base. We recommend commercial-grade materials rated at least 30,000 double rubs (Wyzenbeek) for heavy-duty booth seats; your supplier can confirm the rating.

Are your booths fire-code compliant?

We specify foams and cover materials to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request, and supply test reports for the specific item where available. Requirements vary by state and by occupancy, and some fire marshals ask for additional tests, so check with your local authority before you order and tell us what they require.

Where are Banquette House booths made?

Banquette House is a line by EASEN Commercial Furniture. Everything is made to order in our own production base in Lecong, Foshan, in Guangdong, China, and shipped direct to your project. We do not hold US warehouse stock; that is how we keep lead times predictable and prices factory-direct.

How long does a custom booth order take?

Typically 30–45 days of production for standard designs and 45–60 days for custom work, counted from approval of shop drawings and any sample, plus sea transit and customs clearance. Your quote confirms the timeline for your specific order, so build it into your opening schedule from day one.

How are booths shipped and delivered?

Booths ship in labeled sections, export-packed for ocean freight. We quote FOB, CIF or DDP on request. With DDP we arrange delivery to your door; otherwise your freight forwarder and customs broker take over at the port. Sections are sized to pass through a standard 36 in commercial door.

Do you install the booths?

We do not send installers. Each order comes with drawings showing section numbers, joint positions and fixing points, and most restaurants have their general contractor or a carpenter install. Straight wall runs typically take a crew of two a few hours per run; we stay available by phone and video throughout.

Should booths be attached to the wall or floor?

Wall banquettes are usually secured with concealed cleats or brackets to wall studs or blocking, and joined to each other section to section. Freestanding back-to-back islands are fixed to the floor with angle brackets. Always follow your contractor's advice and local code on anchoring.

Can you build a booth to fit a curved or angled wall?

Yes. Curved, angled and variable-radius booths are drawn from your measurements or a template of the wall. For an existing curved wall, a hardboard template or several measured offsets from a straight reference line give us what we need to build to the curve.

What is the minimum order?

Minimums are low for contract orders, and mixed styles in one container are welcome. A single booth run can be quoted, though freight is more economical when booths ship together with tables and chairs for the whole room. Minimums are confirmed per design in your quote.

Can I see a sample before ordering?

A pre-production sample of a section, or upholstery and finish swatches, can be made on request before full production. For larger orders this is the step we recommend most: sit in it, check the foam firmness and the stitching, then approve.

How many people fit in a booth?

Plan on 24 in (61 cm) of seat length per guest. A 48 in booth seats two comfortably on each side of a four-top; a 60 in booth seats two generously or three tightly. Curved and U-shaped booths around a 48 in round table typically seat six to eight.
