If you need one banquette that will suit an all-day cafe, a hotel restaurant and a neighborhood bistro equally well, this is it. Horizontal channels are the most common booth back in US and European restaurants because they are calm, they hide wear, and they make a run look wider and lower than it is.
Each channel is stitched down hard so it stands out as a distinct roll, about 4 in (10 cm) high. That depth is what separates a commercial channel back from a decorative one: shallow channels flatten within months under constant leaning.
Construction. Rigid seat box, reinforced back frame, channels individually filled over a firm foam backing; plinth recessed for toe clearance and mop access.
Where it works. Long wall runs, booth bays, and anywhere you want seating to recede so the room or the view can lead.
Options. Number of channels, back height, upholstery (fabric, vinyl or leather; COM/COL welcome), piping or plain seams, plinth finish and end details.
