The Watts is a double booth: two seats sharing one central back, so it stands in the middle of a room and serves a table on each side. Both faces of the back are button-tufted in a grid; the seats are plain, square-edged boxes in the same tan vinyl.
Why button tufting. Buttons break a large back into small panels, which hides the gentle creasing that all upholstery develops over time. It is a traditional look that suits steakhouses, diners and American grills.
What you see. Tan leather-look contract vinyl, two rows of buttons across each back, and a black plinth set back from the seat line on all sides.
Planning. A back-to-back double runs about 48 in (122 cm) deep overall. Lined up in a row with tables between, doubles create the classic booth aisle; the end of the row is finished with a single booth against the wall.
Construction. Shared hardwood back frame, two plywood seat boxes, high-resilience foam, buttons anchored through the back board so they do not pull out.
Options. Any vinyl or leather color, button pattern, plain or channel back, lengths, plinth finish. Foams specified to meet CAL TB 117-2013 on request.
